Ikura, or salmon roe, is an essential for any Japanese seafood dish. Harvested from mature Salmon, it is marinated in shoyu before being flash frozen. When defrosted Hasegawa Suisan Ikura is characterised by its shiny, deep orange orbs that explode with umami flavour at every bite.
